Actuator Cleaning, PB safe?

Would PB be smart to use in cleaning the actuator as shown in http://www.aaroncake.net/rx-7/6portfix.htm or should i buy another product such as Liquid Wrench?

Sea Foam Deep Creep.

Or just soak them overnight in regular sea foam. (soak the rods, washers, actuators etc. Then scrub with a 3M brown scrubby pad. Rinse, repeat.

Towel them off fully with some gauze.

Spray LPS greaseless lube all over them. use new o ring gaskets. Install. Enjoy.

I tend to use carb cleaner for cleaning stuff in the intake. The Valvoline Synthetic stuff rules for taking deposits off.
