It actually starts!
Im working on my Turbo swap and right now I have just barely finished the wiring (bought a harness that wasn't a good idea) So after I got all the wiring on it and some new oil in my dad decides lets try and start it. Well I didn't have the turbo on but the old turbo oil lines were just cut on the JDM engine so my dad folded them over to block them off so they didn't leak and we cranked it over for a little. Once we got some good fuel up into the injectors it fired right up. Is this normal for a rotary? I mean it had like a huge vacuum leak everywhere and no afm and probably a few more things. Just seems like it wouldn't have wanted to run the way it was but it started and idled even. I shut it off like right away though because it was so damn loud but it didnt require the gas pedal to hold the idle maybe just because of the accelerated warm up though. I just didn't expect it to run w/ so much disconnected. Is it possible this is because I have a chipped JDM ecu? I don't know anything about the chip in it all it says is Redom on it.
