I got to drive a 6 puck sprung center with an ACT HD pressure plate around a small parking lot the other day. Thanks Chris! The pedal was a lot stiffer than I'm currently used to. It felt at least as stiff as the RB race pressure plate. Oh, and it had something like a 9 pound aluminum flywheel. T2 tranny too.

It was a little grabby, but not a problem. I was more concerned with the heavy pedal effort to be honest. I could live with something maybe a little less grabby, but I'd definitely need to work my way up to that stiff of a pedal. If the Spec 2+ is less stiff, and slightly less grabby, it would be the perfect clutch for me.

So Maybe I'll go with the Spec 2+ while NA and if I ever go turbo, I'll step up to ACT HD and a 6 puck sprung.

Does anyone know of a heavier duty pivot ball?
I recently had to change mine due to it completely breaking in 2. I didn't think the ACT HD pressure plate would cause a problem or maybe it's just a stress fracture.
I hope the new pivot ball is strenghened a bit. No complaint since it has lasted a long time. If anyone has a seen a 87-88 TII and a 89-91 TII pivot ball , it's a big difference! The 89-91 is much larger.

I ran a 6 puck in my old turbo II, engagement was a little harsh but streetable. If you want clamping power its the way to go. Chirped all the gears.
