act 6 puck clutch

Well i just bought a 87 turbo 2 and it has a act 6 puck in it. What i was wondering was, besides street drivability are there any downfalls to having the clutch? i.e. damage to transmision.

I have heard that because they are unsprung clutch discs that they are very hard on the transmision. is this right or do i just need hearing aids?

Also i searched for this topic with no strait answer.

the 6 puck will eat your flywheel pretty quick if you do alot of stop and go driving.. It sohuld not introduce any more stress to your tranny or components as long as you arn't dropping the clutch all the time.. I've run a 6puck ACT with the HD pressure plate for aprox 10,000 kms, and aside from a little squeeling now and then when accelerating from a stop (flywheel screaming in agony), it's not too bad at all...
