ACT 6 puck clutch

Apparently the stock clutch doesn't like boost levels two times greater than stock my clutch isn't slipping at redline, but it sure as hell isn't grabbing. Overall plans for the car is full intake, exhuast, and a small hybrid turbo. Would the 6 puck be apropriate for me? Is it streetable? I'm pretty hardcore person so I don't think it should be a problem...

Well, if you're hardcore you'll love the 6 puck. Like any unsprung clutch its basically on/off...so launching will take some practice.

Too much for me, so I have the street/strip now...

I have a weird clutch in mine... It's a clutchnet 6-puck copper disc (spring) with the pressure plate from a centerforce dual friction. It works very well, and it's not completely on/off, you can slip it a little. Not much tho, or it starts to chatter like a bitch and the whole car shudders.

hmmm well I really want the 6 puck, but I don't want to be burning out from every stopsign when I go through neighborhoods lol This is my daily driver so I guess I still ahve some time to think about it.

i drive a 6-puck unsprung on the street.. not a big deal to slip it. you will be glad you got it. when you are street racing you dont have to worry about launchin, (clutch wise) or shifting. and no.. you dont peal out everywhere.

I've seen a 6 puck unsprung in action. It takes some time to get used to but the owner that I know likes it alot and finds it very streetable.

Don't forget the EXTREAM pressure plate!!

I would recommend you go the the gym for a few weeks before trying to sit at a light.
