yes this is a steel hood on my vert.. I noticed the front bumper had been painted before so if that is not normal maybe the hood had been swapped also..

as for the brakes I did not get the chance to sop before he pulled out in front of me..

I hope this comes together I dont want to loose the vert neither does the wife.. Iw ill do everything possible to save it.. (should not be to hard)

and I think she will do a body kit on the car.. she wants to get a different frt lip.

this is the one case where "it'll buff out" actually seems like a reasonable answer!!

As far as damage goes I don't see the big deal. Go to an body shop and have them straighten it out for you (if your town/city has crappy workmanship then go out of town).

Was the accident your fault?? If it was you're screwed but if it isn't then you can see if the insurance company will help you out and you can

A) buy new aftermarket body parts (fenders, front end and hood)

B) buy used body parts and do a TII swap.

don't be sad because I've seen worse end up looking nice.

yea I would get the used parts and fix it. The bumper cover may be shot. That depends on how deep the scratches go. The other stuff arounf the radiator are not that big a deal. You might need to get a new piece around the overflow bottle. But that you could source off of a junk yard special. I know you dont want to dump a bunch of money in it, but verts are fun to cruise around in. Good luck with it.

it was not my fault but I have only plpd insurance so the ins company will not help.. I will need the follwoing

hood
bumper cover
ftp lenses
pull the metal out
possible new headlights but maybe not (depends where and how band the bends are)

I think it will be fine I just was a bit worked up yesterday.. first this thne I get home and our well pump took a **** man yesterday was a shitty day

Again I will use the aluminum hood off my coupe, I think the wife wants to put a body kit on the vert now so we will do that so we can get a frt bumper cover, skirts and rear cover.

I will need the ftp though and I will look at the headlght this weekend when I pull the cover..

I love this car my wife likes it so I will do what I can to get it back together

I don't know what plpd insurance means. IF it isn't your fault then the other company should pay for their driver's mistake. That's what insurance is all about!!

Here in CA it's madatory to have, at MINIMUM, insurance with 10K/15K/5K
I think 10K is medical, 15K is death and 5K for personal/private property damage.

Hope you got the other person's info.

That's what I was thinking. Nice chopping!

I hope it's easily fixable for you guys. that's a nice vert that doesn't need to die for such little damage!

wait wait. You are going to pay for these damages out of YOUR pocket because you don't want the hassle of sueing the guy who caused the damage?? I dunno man. Seems like a a good way to waste all your hard earned money to me but you do whatever you think is best.

Get the border type 1. It's just like the last one you posted but has the bumper cut out like you mentioned earlier.

Ouch! I can understand what you're sying now. Sorry to hear about it but you can always go to small claim and see if this guy has assets you can take.

you have a couple of choices but first you need to answer this:

Do you live in an area with driveways at an incline?
You you live in an area with tall speed bumps?
How about large deep DIPS?

If you answered yes then the MS lip and any other bodykit that frops the front end significantly will damage your bumper. If this is the case I'd go with a TII lip.

The TII lip looks good on ANY 7 and it's low enough to stand out but high enough so you can avoid scraping everywhere.

The corksport front end IS nice though. But like I said look into the Border typeI so you can have the big headlights on that bumper.

I think the only ones out there are teh Odula (sp), Feed, and Mazdaspeed. The Odula and Feed looks somewhat similar.

our roads are bad, we have some small speed bumps from time to time to deal with and dips as well..

If everything goes well I planned on getting it together and doing the racing beat springs and kyb struts

I will look into the T2 lip.. and I cant find a pi of the border lip

i would do a lip. nice and clean and not to complicated. with some of the kits i don't even know how you go about mounting them (the front and rear bumper that extends to the fender) it goes over it right?

mazdatrix is now selling TII lips - and they are factory color coded!

Shine auto makes a nice flexible FRB one too, for those bumps and driveways...
