ac removal question

So i've been itching to yank my ac and i had a look at my haynees manual to make sure it was the same as the one's i've done before and it said i need to pull the radiator to get to the piece in front of it. My question is do i really need to do this or is there an easier way to get to that radiator looking thing for the ac?

I didn't remove my radiator. Take off the plastic in front of the radiator, remove the hood latch and radiator overflow bottle. That gives you enough room to slide it out.

yah mwatson 's right your can get at it easy if you take off the hood latch. i found the hard part was getting off the lower bolts for the ac compressor. get one of those ratcheting sockets

Ratcheting sockets??? You mean the ratchet wrenches from craftsman?( or whoever) Those things rule. I got a set last year and they have been being used non-stop.
Those bolts on the bottem of the compressor will not come out untill you pull the bracket out or pull the compressor out.

Leave the compressor, you'll be hot w/o A/C!!!
