AC and idle?

My vert a 1990 seems to stall when i use the AC when stopped. Is it cause it is after market and that it draws too much power? Whats the deal and if i decide to get a mazda one say a 86 to 88 i think rx7.com has them. What do i do or need to convert them. They have a decent price i m sure its better them mazda. thanks guys.
