AC condenser removal

Tried searching for "condenser removal" and got no results, and the search function ignores "ac" for being too short, so while I figure this has been answered before, I can't find the thread(s) on it.

I'd like to permanently remove the AC condenser between the blower unit and the heater unit in my S5 TII. Besides needing to put some kind of pipe between the blower and heater, and plugging the firewall holes, will this cause any problems? Can I just unhook all the wiring to the condenser? Its not going to throw a CEL or anything, right?

Thanks

Whoops, just checked the FSM again and I got my terms mixed up. I'm intrested in problems removing the evaporator in the passenger cabin, not the condenser in front of the radiator.

There is no wiring to the evaporator.
You can gut the housing and put it back empty, much easier than finding the factory AC delete tube.

By wiring, I guess I was referring to the thermoswitch. Can that be removed?

Finding/fabbing an AC delete tube is not a problem. I really want the box out, so just gutting it is not quite in line with what I'm intending to do there.

Yes.

"Finding" the delete tube is rather difficult.
Making one would be easier if the end profiles weren't so weird.
