AC Components?

I know it's parasitic drivetrain loss...but it IS my daily driver. I need to know what all components to get my AC working again. Assume it's been completely stripped....which it has...lol. I want to have this done before 7/7/07 in Savannah, GA.

Thanks a bunch,
Collin

theres the compressor (below the PS pump), the condensor (in front of the rad), and plenty of hard lines running around the engine bay. Then theres also the heat transfer unit (forget the name) in the cabin HVAC system. If you have a FMIC it may be difficult to fit the condensor back in there.

Okay. If the AC stuff was pulled to reduce parasitic drivetrain loss...what are the odds that they pulled the stuff in the cabin? Does anyone know where I can get all this stuff?

Thanks,
Collin

Dude, thats a lot of parts and work. I doubt they pulled anything but the Compressor and maybe some lines. The compressor is the only thing that causes DT Loss. However, a system that has been down will accumulate contaminates that could cause failure later on. Your talking 'bout lots o' bucks, dude. Good Luck !

Probably $1000 or more for new parts. Go to www.mazdatrix.com and call their order line and have them quote all components for that system. Then, someone that knows what they are doing should do the work. You may be better off to buy another RX with a working AC, it may be cheaper.
