abs wheel speed sensors

I'm currently dropping my rear subframe, having my diff welded, and replacing some mounts/bushings while its out.
I need to disconnect the ABS wheel-speed sensor bungs from the rear spindle to completely pull the subframe out from under the car... but they wont seem to budge after the retaining bolt is removed. FSM doesn't really specify details of removal.

Are these sensors press-fitted or threaded in? anyone run into this problem? tips?

Just the one bolt, but they are difficult to remove. As they can be moved back and forth only a slight amount, it takes time and patience to get the job done. Tap on the arm each way to get them moving, then with only slight pressure try and move outward then back and forth. If one becomes too aggressive, the arm will break off and the sensor cannot be replaced without the purchase of the entire unit that runs to the front of the car.

Thanks. I'll give it another shot.

I actually dont think I even need to retain the sensors, since i changed over to NON-ABS. This doesnt have anything to do with my speedometer reading, correct?... If thats the case, I might just cut and remove the wiring.

Might be nice to remove it whole without cutting as at times people are looking for the sensors. The '91TII (missing just the drivetrain) I have in the pole shed was used as a donor and the ears are snapped off the sensors in the rear.
