? about S4 stock injectors.

okay. so I know the stock S4 injectors are all 550cc.
but do they all look the same? I noticed, when I was swapping the injectors into my Jspec, two of them looked different from the other two... well, the numbers were the same, and most of them were the same... it was just near the bottom, the plastic part, the hole around the little metal thing that opens to inject fuel. the hole's were considerably bigger on two than on the other two. I didn't think anything of it at the time, and I think I put them in the secondaries. but now that my car runs , I'm worried about having the right injectors in there, so I know I'll have enough fuel when I boost even the stock 8psi or whatever.

is this normal? is it just from heat that the plastic pieces expanded on two? will it effect their performance? does anyone know WTF I'm talking about?

thanks -travis

Only on Turbos were the stock injectors on all FCs 550 cc.

Non turbos (also regardless of years) were all 460 cc.

They change electrical plugs and operation based on year and type.

It soulds like the pintles have been changed if some are larger than others.

yeah, sorry, I forgot to mention its a TII.

well, its just the plastic hole/opening around the metal peice, the little metal thing appears to be the same size. if I'm not making any sense, maybe I'll remove the UIM and take some pictures. since it'd probably be good to check under there just to make sure there's no fuel leaks anyway.

so, here's what the two secondary's look like currently.

see how big the hole in the seat is around the pintle. normally on the injectors, (and on the other two), the hole is just barely bigger than the pintle.

are these still normal injectors, and the seat just got heat warped or something?

will it effect their performance at all?

looks like they just have a different style pintle cap on 'em...as far as causing any performance problems, I dunno????

thanks for the link, but that's just about the electronics part. I have no problem with any of that stuff, just that the plastic seat is too big around the pintle. I'm using 4 S4 injectors (since that's what the electronics is for), and two of them look different than the other two, even though they have the same part number.

all I'm really asking now is if the hole in the injector seat for the pintle is too big, will it effect the injectors performance? - leaking, bad spraying, etc..?
