About to remove OMP, any advice from the veterans?

I need to remove my OMP to flush it out, give it a good inspection, and run new OMP lines. I've never removed one before, and was wondering if anyone has some good advice and tips on the matter.

I did just change my oil 500 miles ago as well, and would hate to drain the car, so I was wondering if it's high enough up the engine to avoid that. I'm hoping that the engine oil is lower in the engine so I won't have to worry about it.

Thanks!

not much....just make sure you have something to ocllect the oil, or make sure its drained already

since youre putting new lines on youre gonna bypass the hardest part (not breaking the lines)

the MOP is on the bottom of the engine, right above the oil pan, so youre pretty much screwed on trying to advoid it

Be damn damn DAMN carefully removing the lines.

Its the stupid nipples on the connectors that snap off and then your screwed.

How do you know from his post that he is not just remaking the lines with teflon tubing? He would need these connectors to re use the lines.

Think about it.

I purcahsed the same lines and crimps that were used in the last OMP line replacement thread. I just have to be carefull not to bust off the OMP injector nipples, but on my rotary paperweight sitting here, I tried breaking the nipple and it seems fairly sturdy.

Sucks I ahve to drain the oil again though, arg.

Good man, but do be VERY carefull. I snaped 1 and if I had not have had a spare OMP, we would have been force feeding it pre mix :-D.

EDIT- Yay 1000 posts.
