? about the pick-ups in the CAS

I posted this on the other forum................

I had to pull them out to clean the case but after I put the pickups back into the CAS...........I don't know how far apart to set the pickups from the *spikes* (two big ones on the upper ,many smaller ones on the lower)


Can I use a feeler gauge to set the clearance? How far?

There is some leeway.
Just check that they clear maybe .005" when you push out the slack the rotor bearing.
I have seen similar reluctance heads give a usuable signal at .030".
