? about new intake on my 90 gtu

Hello. I have a filter and adapter that i was planning to put on my 7. I was browsing through ebay and bid on it one day. I now have it and don't know how to put it on?? I was thinking that it would replace the entire intake tubing and bolt up to the throttle body area, but that aint happening. It says it has a connecter for the maf, but it is square/rectangular and the thing that i think is the MAF(seperates intake tube from the stock intake box) is round. Any clues or pics to help me along?? thanks alot.

mine is similiar to this:

as ive been told you dont need the adapter plate also you need an adaptor hose to go from your 3" intake filter to the 2.5" sensor output . thats what i gather as im in the same predicament.

ttt. thanks. any moe input anyone?? Is there a way to run without the MAF?? I doubt it but I figure i should ask. Any ideas about the mounting of this? Just let the maf lay in there with the filter conected??

Wow. you'd think this would have been covered a billion times.

Well, mine was done by the previous owner with the reducing silicone coupling and he left the MAF hanging there. Now the problem with doing it like that is, the MAF is an electronic sensor and im sure with the vibrations and banging, it can screw itself up.. What i suggest is to make some sort of bracket outs Unistrut or something similar. Unistrut is used by electricians(like myself) and can be found at Electric supply stores. (Not sure if Home Depot would carry something like that. If you take that route, buy a piece of Unistrut and a 2 hold L Bracket. Put together with 1/4inch nuts, bolts and washers, then connect to body. I've never seen pictures of other set ups. Maybe others can give ideas?
