About to buy a 87 T2 RX7, help wanted!
Ok, i went and looked at a 87 T2 for sale the other day, both th interior and exterior are MINT... (stock... but in EXCELLENT CONDITION) Its got 175000KM, red Exterior with a grey interior. The asking price is 3500$ CND.
Ok, me and my friend checked it out (the basics... oil, coolant, looked at smoke when we started it, blah blah blah....) and it seemed alright. But there was this little BEEP BEEP sound when we were sitting in it (we didnt know what caused it, but after reading the fact I now do) I dont know how many beeps there are before each pause... but i will find out on Saturday.
Although we did check it over... we arnt really the brightest when it comes to RX7's, so is there anything anyone suggest doing? or stuff to look out for? blah blah blah
Thanks alot in advance

Aaron Cake has a good buyers guide on his website, the link is in his profile.
Some things I like to do when I'm looking to buy is:
Check the compression. Take it for a drive and make sure it boosts correctly and drives well. Take a magnet to check for body filler on the fender and quarter panels. Look for hidden rust, body work is pricey. Check the tires & brakes.
Aaron's guide is much more extensive, I suggest looking that over.

Well guys.... I went to check it out again yesturday (the day of the auction)
The beeping had stoped, everything checkout out... so I BOUGHT IT!!!
Im very proud of my new car, and my friends keep telling me how jealous they are.
Im going to pick it up tommorow (cause I still have to pay the remaining money) and then im gonna park it at my friends house for a month or so (until this Canadian Winter has gone by)
You can all expect me to be posting like crazy from now on as I learn more and more about my car.

I R SAD PANDA W/O BAW
Congratulations. Dont let it sit too long. I would start it up every week or 2 and take it for a spin to keep the fluids from sitting. Winter time=wrenching time.
