About Add Coolant Light And Buzzer
My add coolant light and buzzer goes off litter after it started when cold. It will go off when the engine reaches normall temp. When below about 2000 rpms it come back on. I just flushed the coolant and was told to change my rad cap, thermostat, and rad hoses. Would that be the reason why its goes off. Im not letting out any white smoke at all and my res tank is above full and seems to be kinda low around the rad cap and hoses. Any ideas...
If the proper procedure for filling/bleeding the coolant system is not followed you will get air bubbles in your system that will trigger that "add coolant" light. Also, if you have never changed any of the rubber hoses or caps, that could be some of the problem you are having.
NZ, it sure is nice to see such an knowledgeable and intelligent person like we all know you are, not to rheem this lad a new reverse orifice.

Still having same problems... I changed the themostat and hoses. The buzzer still comes on. The air bubbles should be out, i ran the engine without the cap. Still cant figure what is going on. I do not think it my water pump. There is peasure in the top rad hose. Could it be the temp sending unit. any more help?
heh, I had the same problem until my friend took off the cap, and rev up the eninge. From there, I watched as my coolant went down quick....then came to he conclusion that I have a bad coolant seal. Hooray for rebuilds. Streetport/manny swap time. Now I just gotta get another job and save up the rest of the money.
