i have a 89 turbo the lights in the warning cluster come on when the car is at idle ........my alt is good (14 volts) the idle on the car is excellent .
do i need to ground some wires?

Alt is not good or you have bad connections if the lights are coming on while idleing.
You may try re-grounding the engine and battery, but I would bet that the alt is going or has a diode or two blown in the regulator.
and BTW:
You may get more replies in the future if you use a real title for the thread as well...I know there are several people that normally wouldn't even look at a thread with the title being just a symbol.
Perhaps something like "idiot lights on at idle" or something like that would be better next time.

with a digital multi-meter check for AC voltage at idle (yep that's right AC not DC).
I have a feeling that there is at least one diode/rectifer blown in the alt.
