So, I fell In love with the look of the RX-7 with the rear windows louvers and well, now I need one for mine. So does anyone have any idea where I can come across one? Any ideas? Please? Ahahaha thanks guys! I really need a hand on this

 

No idea. The louvers sometimes look good on cars with a flat hatch. Due to the concave shape of the fc's hatch, I think the louvers on them look as gay as... well... it just looks gay.

There are some made by astra-hammond, new, for.. $250 i think? But they look nothing like the finish line mazda ones. I'll see if i can find pics

this thread just reminded me of how much i hate the look of the FC louvers. window tint is effective and IMO adds to the styling of the cars.

i would also tint the side windows but since the car is being sold and going back to cali and it's illegal there i guess just the hatch will have to do.

 

I don't normally do this...but...
I had some, briefly...the amount of time it took to remove them from an FC @ PnP, install on my FC in said PnP parking lot (cuz they wouldn't fit inside it, LOL), drive home (and then sell on CL for profit), a grand total of about 3-4 hours...

That being said they do lower the interior temps, IMMEDIATELY (I was very surprised, LOL). But they NEED to be gel-coated...BIG TIME. And if they're old and saggy (does anybody like anything old and saggy??!)...like a couple posted above... NO. Plz, NO.

IMHO, they make FC's look VERY "dated" (VERY '80's, LOL). I'd never rock them on my FC. But, to each, his own...

Lastly, and in all seriousness- don't let the dissenting opinions of others discourage you! If you like 'em, ROCK 'EM!

Found a set, need installation instructions !

 

Just acquired a set of louvers for my '86.
If anyone has installation instructions I could use them.
Probably will figure it out as they don't look too complicated and have looked at mustang louver site.

 

I have a set for my 10th anniversary edition and while some people do not like them I think they work on that specific model. They absolutely give it that 80s look.
