Talking 91 NA Check engine light issue

Hi guys, I searched previous posts but still no solutions. My CEL is on
and goes out when the accelerator is pressed, stays on when idling.
The code points to the TPS which measures 1.0- 4.2 at WOT.
The car runs fine. Anything I may have overlooked? Thanks.

Unplug the TPS, clip on an Ohmmeter and check the sweep of values as you work the plunger.
Look for a bad spot or drop out near the low end.

On a sweep ,the meter just tops out at 4.2. No dead spots inbetween. I think I've read
all TPS posts on this forum. Thanks for the advice.

Did you test it at the ECU?

Which TPS? There are two, and each has a different error code.

Check your ECU error code.

Well, it could be from your throttle Sensor and Air Sensor.
Another possibility is one of your engine wires was electronically short.

Good luck,
