91 n/a Perfect idle but stalls with accell..
OK, took an engine out of an S5 vert and put it into a 91 n/a. The engine ran fine when pulled, sat 6 months, then installed into the 91 Coupe. Both have AT. Anyway, the car idles perfectly and revs freely, but runs like crap. Seems like OMP symptoms but no codes. Cats are new, I swapped the complete LIM and UIM (TPS,BAC,etc) with injectors. When I put the car into R or D, it acts as though the AFM is unplugged, and I swapped that out as well with no change. Compression was good when engine was removed, and I pulled the plugs today and listened for the balanced "pffft pfft pffft", everything sounded normal. Anyone have any ideas before I end up swapping EVERYTHING?

Well, I checked codes (even though there was no check engine light) after the car ran like crap. It will go into drive and reverse and drive with no problem, just when I apply gas. If I ease into it from idle, it will accelerate choppily, and flooring it from idle with just make it cut out.

1.3L is not that small
you should check the AFM.. thats exactly what mine did and blew my mind until i found out the AFM i had bought from o'reily's was BAD... got one off the forum and havent had a single problem with my car since

I had swapped the AFM, but I'll swap in another. I swapped OMPs and it ran fine (for the first time since the swap) for 1/8 mile and then started to crap out again(seeming as though the OMP is bogging down-I don't know)...now I swapped oil injectors and I probably should swap oil inj. lines, but I'll see if the injectors make a difference first.

Swapped oil injectors and ECU. Still the same problems. The car seems to act OK until it warms up. And then it will just crap out with gas. I don't understand it...I have swapped out most of the motor it seems. Acts like it is a fuel or air issue, but the car ran fine until the front rotor gave out and the engine I put in ran fine before I pulled it out of a vert. Still no codes...
