91 FSM Light switch

91 FSM Light switch
OK, I replaced my light switch and cable.
89 FSM on web does not have 91 vert with air bag [that is what thoes two blue boxes under the dash are for?] wiring diaghram.
Here is a picture of my old plug. What circuit is fried and why?
The wire is yellow with a blue stripe.
Now have ilumination dash/radio, side lights, and parking lights.
How do I prevent this from happing again?
