91 FC aftermarket radio problem

hey guys can anyone enlighten me on how to put an aftermarket head unit in my fc? ive tried everything i looked up the wiring diagram for the car and radio never had this much trouble in any car before lol ive researched alot with no luck i can get it to power on but no sound i tried all the speaker wires

vert or coupe? Need to know.

Power antenna is negative trigger so you'll need a relay regardless.

its a vert. i just kinda got it working but it only comes on when the head lights are on? i re wired the speakers but i just dont like the fact the head lights have to be on and flipped up

That means you hooked the radios 12 ignition (red) to the vehicles illumination wire.

Did you cut the plugs off?

i connected the red(12v ignition on) and yellow(12v constant) from radio to the 12v wire to car...only way it would turn on it seems like. orange is illumination and thats connected to nothing

What are the wire colors for adding aftermarket radio
LTBlue/Red= 12v+
LtBlue/White= +Accessory
LtBlue/Yellow= -power ant trigger
Red/Black=+ Lumination
White=Factory Amp Turn on

Lets say you are trying to determine which is the Blue/White wire which comes from the radio/audio fuse. Simple, you turn the key to ACC and find which L/W wire has voltage followed by pulling the radio/audio fuse and if the voltage is not present then you know you have the correct wire.

ahh okay so just test the blues till i find 12v? then 0v with the fuse out
