90 TII idle question

I just got a 1990 TII convertable EU spec that i will upgrade to US spec. This being my second TII I know a little about the engine, but I'm not sure on this problem.

When I start the engine it runs fine while warming up, but once warm and the idle drops it starts to fluctuate up and down about 2 or 3 hundred rpms. It also pops from the exhaust on what would seam once a second or so. When I give the car gas it revs fine and doesn't shudder or pop until the rpms go back to idle speed about 1000 rpms.
I haven't gotten to do a compression check yet, but will in the next few days.

Is it just a vacuum leak or could it be a bigger issue?

Any help would be appreciated.

I have this same problem but I just replaced the CAS and set the timing, adjusted the TPS, installed a NEW TID, and redid my vaccuum lines.

Even after doing all that my car won't idle at a constant rate. It just stalls out. I know I don't have any vaccuum leaks and everything is set right.

any ideas for the two of us?
