90 N/A idle coarse adjustment?
I am having problem with my NA's idle speed. Sometimes when I turn the AC on, the car will stall. I followed the FSM and tried to adjust the air adjust screw on top of the throttle body; it did not bring up the idle speed high enough before too much air go in and stall the engine. So this air adjust screw looks to me is a fine adjustment for the idle speed? My question is that is there any coarse adjustment for idle speed in a N/A? I read my post said the idle coarse adjustment is the throttle stop screw. I could not find it. Anyone can tell me where it located? A picture will definitely help. Thanks.

There is a mass idle adjustment screw on the throttle body, on the side closer to the front of the car directly above the TPS adjustment screw, it is a little flat head screw with a lock nut around it. Be very gentle when turning this screw, a little turn goes a very long way, I mean, use maybe 1/8 turn increments.

Thanks ImportFanatic. I took a picture, I circled the adjust screw. I am not sure if I am getting the right one, can you confirm it?

that screw is just the stop for the secondary butterflys. In now way an idle adjustment.
When you turn your A/C on, the BAC valve should compensate for the extra load put on the engine. Right now, your BAC valve is probably taking alot of the load and when a/c gets turned on, bac is already maxed out, so the car stalls.
- BAC valve is located right underneath the sec. fuel injectors on an S5
download the FSM in the FAQ which shows completely how to set idle, or this site should help.
