90 GXL idle issues

well guys i come here as a last resort since there are 12935897 idle threads anyways, i didnt want to post an idle thread but ive tried absolutely positively everything i know to fix the idle of my wife's 90GXL, it has that pulsing idle, the 1200-1700, vroom -- vroom -- vroom, you know.

i started by changing out a bad TPS with one that tested good, no luck, even set it with the TPS set lights instead of an OHM meter or volt meter. today i replaced the entire intake manifold and made absolutely sure there were no unplugged vac lines, and used all new intake gaskets and injectors o-rings/grommets. ive tried setting the throttle plates, adjusting the idle screw, resetting the ecu. im going crazy, what is causing this?? the only one thing i noticed that was off was that when i changed the intake there was one black electrical plug that wasnt plugged in, it is circle in shape and has a small 2 prong female connector on it, it doesnt stretch out from under the upper intake so i thought it was something on top of the block, i saw nothing unplugged, i searched everywhere.

aboslutely any ideas or help is greatly greatly appreciated

In my experience, pulsing hunting idle has always been solved by correctly setting the TPS. Try testing the voltage of the TPS from the ECU. It's probably the only way you will know for sure that you've got it set correctly. One volt at idle fully warmed up to 5-6 volts at WOT. There's an idle thread in the 2nd Gen archives that deals with how to fix mysterious idle problems.

check your bac valve per the factory manual (http://www.teamfc3s.org/main/factory..._non_turbo.pdf - pg 42).

the black round connector i believe is not used in north american cars. i think it was for an electric fan or a temp sensor for an electric fan...i could easily be wrong on this one.
