Just need to know, cause I've got a steel hood, and want an aluminum...I can get an S5 vert hood if I want it, I just need to know if its aluminum or not. thanks!!

 

Im almost positive it is. Only one way to find out. Well two ways. Either take a magnet to it or find out how much it weights.

 

yea, but I would like to know BEFORE I actually go to get it ...But I will just ask them to take a magnet to it I guess....OR is it just a given that ALL S5 verts have aluminum hoods?

 

i hear people saying that all the s5 verts have aluminum hoods...but i have seen some with steel hoods. possibly someone swapped out the aluminum ones but i cant say for sure. in my opinion, just get the hood since its free and decide on what to do with it when it arrives.

All verts came from the factory with aluminum hoods.

If you are going to swap, don't forget to get the hinges and latch from the vert as well, since the hinges and latches for the steel hoods will rot the aluminum out.
