89 TII Boost sensor ?

89 TII Boost sensor ?

I have an 87 n/a that im swapping an 89 13bt into. I dont have a boost sensor but if i run an AVCR do i even need a boost sensor?

The ECU uses the MAP sensor. Yes it's important.

well theres a map sensor and then theres the stock boost controler. which is on the left side of the engine

Actually the boost "controller" is the ECU. You're talking about the boost control solenoid valve, but that's not what he's asking about.
