89 n/a brake upgrade question
Okay, i did a search and didn't quite find what i was looking for so here goes:
I have an 89 gtu with the cheesy front brakes and the non-vented rears. I'm picking up S5 4 piston fronts and vented rear set-up with matching mounting brackets and hard lines. Question is, aside from rotors, will i need anything else? Just want to know if i need to source any fittings, brake booster, etc. I only have The one car so i'll need to have ALL parts before I start. MUST be a one day job. Thanks for the input and if anyone has links to a thread i may have missed lemme know. I checked under "brake upgrade" and "t 2brake swap".
Thanks in advance.

When I swapped, I kept the stock non-vented rears and didn't change the booster or MC...worked fine.
As the only difference in the rear calipers is width, I don't think you'll have any trouble either.
If you must get this done in one day- which is certainly do-able- I'd recommend you prepare ahead of time by confirming that your rotors will come off.
Many times the retaining screw is frozen and even if it isn't, the rotors are frozen to the hub.
The fronts seem particularly prone to this and can take quite a while to get off.
Once the rotors are off, the rest of the job is quite easy.
