here is an update on my build.

The engine bay was stitch welded.
The LHD holes have been covered up.

Unfortunately there was excessive rust in the wheel wells as well as the front corners of the frame, those where cut out and new metal was shaped accordingly and welded in its place.

i have left the under body alone for now as my garage is to small for the necessary equipment.
later it will be placed upside down on metal stands, stripped and coated with POR15.

the engine bay has been preped with primer.
the interior exterior and engine bay will receive an urethane base coat/clear coat most likely gray in the bay and interior and white for the exterior

the body panels chosen for the car are a bomex front bumper, TII skirts- no wing no lip, stock rear bumper, and carbon-fiber diffuser for the rear, stock popups, re amemiya side mirrors, and TII hood

i have still yet to obtain wheels. and am looking for a nice set of 17's. but i need ideas because i cant decide.

the wiring is the next step, as well as testing the electronics then test fitting of all parts will begin before the paint is applied.

here is some pictures, it is currently to cold to paint so i might have to wait a few months till it gets warm again.

(i know the seat is gay, its not gonna be used. it is there for the test fit of the roll cage. re-upholsterd TII seats will be used in its sted)

enjoy.

The car was originally intended to be used as a show car, and that was the reason behind the conversion, but now im not so sure. I kinda wanna use the thing for more than just that.

some of my buddies are into auto-x so i think im gonna give that a try. so the goal is to have the car finished in the spring. but we'll see about that, it still needs alot of time and a few more parts.

you should put 2 steering wheels in it, like the driver training cars.

the yellow seat is equally as gay btw.

couldn't help it! the RHD invasion is just cliche now...

Learning how to read is pretty cliche too huh?

Love it or hate it, i dont really care.

i know this FC will most likely look cleaner than half of them on the road.

rx7 or not, an iconic shitbox from the 80's is still a **** box, where most people buy turbos and wide bodys, i repaint and restore.

so unless you have something useful to and inuyasha, get fucked

it is alot of work to do properly, but i guess a little self restraint does go a long ways.

I have them dam corbeau seats and they sit so day high! I am in process of installing a cage in my fc and with those seats there is no room for me with helmet hits my halo, so i cut out the driverside area where the seat rails bolt up to and made my own mounts and i gaind 2 inches.

I am having trouble with the passenger side because the stock mounting location is back toward the tranny canal and i did not want to mess with that, gna hav to be pounded in or something...

What did you do to fit passengerside ? I have thought bout buying sparco seats cuz they seem to sit way lower like the stock fc seats do...
