89 GTU Tuneup

Well my GF's fuel mileage is horrible. She had a small fuel drip under the drivers door so I thought it might be that but I managed to fix that and the fuel mileage still sucks. I just changed the oil and the oil filter and in about 1 month Iam changing the plug wires, plugs, o2 sensor, oil filter, oil, and fuel filter.

So other than that what can I do to give this thing a tuneup so my buddy with bored out 350 dosn't get metter gas mileage then her

Thx guys

All the things your going to do in a month should help with the mileage. You forgot the air filter, if that's in need of changing. Since she's your GF, show her your mad skills by changing tranny/diff fluids as well. Make sure her tires are inflated to normal pressure. How much does she weigh? Too much, that costs gas!! (JK) Tell her to keep her foot out of it. That helps more than you can imagine...

yeah where do I fill the tranny and diff at? I have a cone intake on it so I usually just blow it out with compressed air when I change the oil. She only weighs 100 lbs so no problems there And we usually shift between 3-4k rpm (I drive the car alot too) in normal driving and we get on it here and there

I need to change the tranny fluid cause 2nd gear grinds the syncros when shifting

and is there a way to tune the engine because it seems like its missing power (good compression on both rotors tho) and when I mash on the gas it really sucks (I usually have to lay off a bit to actully get some power ???)
