89 Fuel pump install difference?

I want to make sure I did this right...i have already installed the nippedenso fuel pump and on the write up it showed a pre 89 fuel pump install.

From the fuel pump to the hard line inside the tank, it showed pictures of a fuel hose with clamps to connect it....

On my 89 fuel pump, the hard line was flared out at the in, and had two plastic pieces and a rubber o-ring. I believe I installed it right.... (my car runs), but it doesn't seem like those little plastic pieces and o-rings give it a good seal?? Does anyone have a picture of how the pieces exactly fit...I just want to double check.
