89 FC electrical/turbo problems (help!)

OK, I've got quite a host of problems to deal with this summer, but I wanted to run some of them through this forum in case you guys have had the same problems or have any tips for me.
I have an 89 Turbo II (just got it last month) with all the accessories(power windows and locks, security system, moon roof, rear window wiper, etc.). It seems that with all those electronic accessories comes electronic problems. My first problem was the flashers, which was easily fixed by replacing the flasher relay on the bottom part of the CPU. The next problem to arise was my windshield wipers. The rear one works when it wants to, and the front ones work only in I and II, but not Int or mist(probably the relay). Next was the temp gauge which now seems to bounce for a couple minutes (on and off) while I'm on the freeway.

Parallel to all these issues is a loss of power(95% of the time) at 4500RPM. Originally, I believed this to be a turbo problem(which I will have rebuilt in August) for two reasons. It burns oil when the turbo kicks in during cold weather and I get an exhaust/gas smell coming through my vents(I already checked my exhaust from the downpipe back). Most recently, until the car has been running for about 35mins, it is useless on the freeway. During this 35min period I can't get the car above 65MPH. When I try to accelerate above that point, the turbo gauge sticks at 0 mmHg and the car starts missing.

Here's my take, I think the mid seal in the turbo is shot and the oil from the feed line is blowing into my intake. This would foul my spark plugs, so I will replace them shortly. I'm not sure why the turbo sticks at 0 mmHg only on the freeway, and I have no idea why I have so many electrical problems.

Could everything be related? Does anybody think that I may need to replace the CPU? Maybe even rewire the whole thing(quite a job, I know!)? Does my theory on the turbo sound right? I'm not entirely up to date on all the functions of the CPU, EPU, Turbo timer, etc. so I'm just taking shots here. Any advise would be MUCH appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

I have an 88 Turbo 2, the stock boost guage works when it wants too, loss of power, the battery terminals come on and off so get new ones, I will be racing down a street at 100mph after a race, and my power steering will go out and everything will go dark cuz the terminals will hit the hood when I shift hard....the electricals, take apart the sunroof thing, and the little dome lights, check it out, i guarentee its going to be rusted out with the grounds...go over your electrical connections and I bet you lots will be rusted out...mine were...

good idea, I checked most of the grounds around the rest of the car but never thought to look at the area around the sunroof. I'll take a look.

Cool, I'll check those. Does anybody agree with my theory about the turbo needing to be rebuilt (and that is fouling my spark plugs)?
