FL 89 convertible CPU issue? beeping

This is the second CPU that I change ,the problem is the seat belt beepping.after the seat belt is on ,sometimes intermitent beeping.
If I use the car often the beeping goes away, but eventually comes back.on the second FC-01 unit (used) the problem went away for a year, maybe someone change a capacitor out there in the pc board and remember wich one was, I know it must be an elecrolytic these are good for 10-15 years and now is the same issue again.
All this boards are cover with some clear acrilyc paint and alrready ruin a unit trying to replace all the capacitors

Thanks

Yeah, there is a cap on the board that works with a timing circuit that controls the alarm, key in the ignition beep, and the high beams. Eventually, without replacement, all of those functions will cease to work. Lame I know.

You should be able to spot the offending capacitor. I have found the one that likes to fail, and it is by a timer chip. Pull the CPU open and see if the electrolyte has started leaking from the bottom of one of the caps. It is hard to describe what the timer chip looks like since I don't have an open CPU in front of me.
