I've been working on this project for a year actually, but most of the meat of the project has been done in the past three months. Over a year ago I bought a junked Rx-7 Turbo II from Mazmart here in ATL. I pulled the engine from it, as well as almost everything in that beast. I then decided it was a good time to pull the vert motor to get started. Well, hindsight is 20/20 right folks?
Well work and school got a little too overwhelming and the whole project was pretty much halted. I really hadn't had enought cash to do what I wanted. Well a few months ago I got to where I wanted to be financially and decided to start putting my damn car back together. So, I sent off my block to Rotary Resurrection and got a rebuild. It's taken me about a month and a half to get the car in my shop and start working on it, but now I'm ready to go.
Aside from getting the completely wrong flywheel and clutch for the motor, everything is working out rather smoothly thus far. I've decided to strip out a lot of the interior and refinish somethings. I had re-upholstered the driver door and it looks really good, so I plan on carrying that out on the other side. I pulled out the A/C and all of it's components, because I never really used it when I drove my vert.
Oh, and my donor car came with a completely Racing Beat exhaust, SWEET.
I have a few pics of the project, but my camera crapped out on me so I don't have that many. I just figured this board needed some more projects and not so many redundant questions.
