88 vert radio problems

Ok so, this is my 4th fc and I've never had this problem installing a radio.

Im having problems with power. The audio room and antenna fuse are all good. When I hook the radio yellow wire(constant batt+) to the car light blue and red(hot batt+) and then the radio red(ign batt+) to the car light blue and white(ign batt+) the radio just stays on, even with no key. However if I switch them the radio turns off with the car but when I turn the car back on all the settings on the radio are gone. Presets, eq, clock. At first I was whatever about it but now it pisses me off Haha. Radio isn't anything fancy just a pioneer deck. I know its not the deck cos the car came with a crappy dual deck and it did the same thing.

Anyone?

Try these. Related to S5's, but only real difference as it relates to your request is the S5 vs S4 oem plugs into the stock radio are different. Wiring pretty much the same.

I've seen and read both of those and can't find anything relating to my issue. Sucks.

are you grounding the radio to the frame? mine refused to kick on until black ground was attached to frame ground. the ground in the diagram wont work has some kind of pulse that makes it not work. Using this left one always on + for the batt and one + for switched on. questions let me know im going to post a diy that covers all but headrest speakers. not keeping the seats plus tomorrow i will be posting pictures and writeup about 9-10pm cst
