88 Vert-Power Consuming Starter

Ok i have the problem where my 88 vert will click click start sometimes. Its not a big deal cuz it just takes a couple turns then it will crank. My problem is that the only way i can start the car is by jumping it off a running vehicle that has to have at least 6 cyl. I even tried a second battery jumpered to mine. The vehicle cranked a few times then started dying i took that second battery out hooked it up to a blazer and the blazer started right up... Any ideas...

My click start was a bad solenoid wire. It may need to be replaced a ways up in the harness. Mine was only bad for half a foot or so. Don't worry, it's an easily accessible harness.
