88 vert out foor the summer but makes terrible sounds

Hi everybody. Its been a long time since I'd been on and posted anything. Sorry to all my pals in MD for dropping off the planet.

So the summer is here and I'm getting the RX out of the garage.

Bat was dead so I charged it. The top most radiatior cap, not on the radiator itself but on a juction of the hoses, is leaking alittle. I tried to remove it and reseat it to see if it would seal properly on its own but it still leaks. Should there be a gasket between the hose junction and the part it mounts to with the screw cap? Also when I'm driving and I take the car out of gear (or depress the clutch) the car has a some vibrartion and is making some noise. I also have a cracked driver side taillight (s4) but I'll look in the parts for sale section for that. I'd appreciate any tech advice you guys can spare.

Not sure if this will help but I'll tell you my experience with a similar sounding problem. I experienced a slight vibration and with a little extra noise when i let off the gas to change gears or took it out of gear. The higher the engine was reving when it was taken out of gear, the louder and more violent the vibration was. This got progressively worse and became very violent within a couple weeks. Turned out the bearings had failed. I had a rebuilt engine from atkins rotary in WA. when they took it apart they found the bearing had seized and shredded. They told me it could only happen from lack of oil, but i had never let anyone drive it without me and it had never been more than half a quart low on oil. I believe some small particles may have worked their way into the oil and caused the bearing failure. Hopefully, your problem is not bearing failure because replacing an engine isn't fun. Thought I would at least give you a lead to follow. . . If the vibration becomes more violent over time, you might want to ask around about bearing failure. good luck.
