88 Vert Hazard Lights

The hazard lights stay on in my 88 vert. Any "common" problems that you can recommend to me to optimize my troubleshooting process? Thanks in advance for any assistance you can lend. A few quick searches on this site did not turn up anything.

Chances are the button to activate them is stuck in the on position. When the hazard switch is depressed it sends a ground to the hazard flasher unit in the CPU and it turns on the flashers. When you try to disengage the flashers the ground is still likely being sent to the flasher unit and thus the flashers refuse to turn off. This is your likely problem.

Thanks for the help!! Is the switch something I can take apart and repair or is it easier to just find another one? Again, I greatly appreciate your help and insight!

I don't know about fixing a faulty button but if it's the cause then replacing the unit might be your only solution. If you go to the CPU and look for a plug w/7 wires and then find a Light Green wire you should be able to backstab the wire w/voltage and the flashers 'should' cease to flash.

And it's also possible that the flasher relay contacts are stuck in the closed position.
