88 Vert Dead

Ifollowed the advice of Icemark and a few others and put the old nose to the grinding stone and learned my car. So, after 30 + hours of trouble shooting the 13B is running strong again. Car Died and would not start but would turn over. I checked the Fuel system, Starter, Alternator, Ignition system (no spark out of coils) and since I did not believe both coils went bad at same time I went with the EGI Control Unit. Checked the harness into the Control Unit (checked out good no grounds) and then picked one up from CORK SPORTS out of Vancouver Wa. Thanks RYAN. Plugged it in and Whamo up and running like a champ. So follow the advice of the mechanics / experts on this site who know what they are doing and save a BUNCH of money. Thanks again guys for showing patience with a newbie mechanic. Even us old guys can still learn.

Cool Egi ?

What is the EGI? Where is it and how can I test mine. I'm having the same problem with no spark on mine. The CAS and coils test fine.

EGI Control Unit is located on the passenger side, firewall, under the kick plate. You must remove the carpet, unbolt the 4 bolts holding the kickplate and it is on the left hand side as you are looking forward.
