I figured you would point that out. Generally Dura glass aka ("cat puke" at the places I worked) is used for instances where real hackery is involved.

Ive worked with cars from the teens to modern and you get a feel for what makes a car "worth less" and what your doing to it is on that list. Im sure you like it but you cant hide from the truth.

You need to be damm good to hide what your doing there under paint, especially with todays multi stage stuff.

Explaining the downsides to this is not being mean, its just pointing out the obvious. In a few years that will at the very least show through the paint at 10 feet.

But, like everyone is saying here, to each is own.

If its done right (i dont know if your doing right or not) it wont really crack unless its hit.

The previous owner did it to my car (at least 9 years ago) and it only cracked where they shaved the door handle on 1 door. Personally i think it looks better BUT i do love a nice clean 7 with the trim intact. Its all gravy.

i found a few pics of a white fc on here a couple of years ago that had the moldings filled in. that car was super clean! i have tried finding the pics again but can't remember which thread it was in and waaay to many pages in the pics of your fc thread to even attempt to search again. would love for someone to post those pics here so everyone can see how good it could look. personally i have mixed feelings but m an s4 guy and love the black side moldings. i thin that on an s5 car where the moldings are color matched already that it should look very nice
