NC 88 turbo 2 feels slow..even after tune

as title says the car just feels slow to what it used to. current setup
-rebuilt motor with aprx 10k matched exhaust port
-bnr stage 3 turbo
-15-17 psi
-full 3in exhaust
-act 6 puck with act 17lb flywheel
-550cc/1600cc injectors
-all emissions removed
-power fc
-running 4 trailing spark plugs
-fmic
-banzai racing adapter harness

the car doesnt even break traction in any gear anymore? was just street tuned and the afrs are staying in the low 11s under wot. any idea to anything else to look at?

Nah, just kidding, theres alot of variables, what tires do you have? I guess the biggest question is, who tuned it and how? Dyno tuned or just tuned by the AFRs?

Has base timing been set/checked? If not, I would.

A few years ago we were getting ready for a race at the last minutes and made some upgrades to the car. Long story short the base timing was off by a few degrees and the car was noticeably slower. Once we properly settiming the car felt like a rocket.

If you are referring to setting the base timing as in with a timing light yes I have. I checked multiple times and restarted the cas where both the leading and trailing marks are perfectly aligned

Are you 100% sure its slower, because that doesn't really make any sense.

What were your AFRs before?

Did you switch from a TMIC to a FMIC? What size FMIC piping are you using? I had this same problem when I switched from stock turbo & TMIC to BNR Stage 2 and 3" FMIC. It actually made the car slower.

no nothing has changed on my setup besides getting it tuned and with the power fc...last time i tuned it on the stock ecu and safc..idk just seems a 300+ whp fc should at least break traction?

by slower it just feels eh....nothing impressive as it used to be...i would expect the tune to make it feel faster and smoother..which it is alot smoother in the drivability but down on power. just replaced plugs and wires as well

If you can't break traction in first gear, you have a problem and don't have 300hp. You should be also be able to fry them into second.

Youre leaving something out here bro.

You say the car had plenty of power before the tune.

Then you had it tuned by steve olsen in NC.

Now, did the car not have any power right after the tune, OR the car had plenty of power when you left the tuner and something else happened.

Which one is it?

If this problem happened directly after the tune, why wouldnt you go back to the tuner? Did he do a dyno? What were the numbers?

Something is bullshit here.

no the car has always been on factory ecu with a piggy back safc2,rtek...finally got around to doing the power fc..i expected it to be faster than with a piggy back and its not. it does drive smoother than ever but just lacking the power. it was done on the streets so no dyno. i am going to get it dynoed in the next two weeks to see what the numbers are actually and see how accurate my butt dyno is. the car has always broken traction in at least first but usually first and second.

ok so you installed the new ECU, and had it tuned by Steve.

Steve didnt say "Hey your car feels weak as ****?"

I mean, you said it wont even burn out in 1st gear right?

My old NA would burnout in 1st gear, and it was only like 130hp.

sure i can make it burnout by popping the clutch or just dropping the clutch but it used to just break traction at about 5k from power
