Unhappy 88 TII - Engine problems

My car has been starting and idling on 1 rotor, usually after ~30secs or less it runs on both and the car has full power and no problems except it floods really easily when restarting it and puts out some white smoke on startup. It has no smoke after it warms up and no smoke at all the rest of the time driving it. I checked the spark plugs and they all look good.

1 week ago we adjusted the TPS (obviously not to spec) which after we did that the car started just fine on both rotors and still smoked but I had issues with starting the car when it was cold out, I had to hold the AFM flapper open part way before it would start and also decel was jerky while driving

This last weekend we re-adjusted the TPS (closer to spec) and the car runs perfect again when warm, but the 1 rotor issue has come back when starting and there is still smoke.

I was going to try running some fuel system cleaner through it to see if that helps. Any suggestions?

I could be wrong but i'd say your seals , do a compression check before you start throwing money into it

true i agree^^^ do compression test. i did just have the same problem and i used sea foam in the intake(like the H20 trick) and then let it sit for about 20 min and its going to smoke like a mother but i help my problem. also get your tps set correctly that will generate some issues. i think mine was just cause of a stuck seal but now its fixed. you can do the sea foam or amsoil power foam.

Thanks for your replies. I will try doing a compression check and probably try the sea foam. Anything else I should look at while I'm at it?

Can the seals just get stuck frequently?

im thinking possible stuck or leaky injector on the primary rail.... sticking open, fouling up the plugs and than it cleans out and runs, that would also explain some hot start issues... free bump too

Just to bring some closure to this, I did test compression and everything was ok there. The problem appears to be a coolant leak.
