88 s4TII to S5 TII engine swap questions.

IM a little lost here. I was expecting an s4 motor to arrive but i got an s5. I dont have time to return so I will make it work.

A couple of things are confusing me.

1. Im going premix because i only have an s4 ecu. (is it ok to leave OMP in stock location-without function so i dont have to wait for block off's?)

2. What do I do about the TPS? DOes the s4 TPS/Bracket bolt to the s5 throttle body? (I would like to keep the s5 manifolds as they are a bit better).

This is what i have figured out since im trying to use the s4 harness and ecu.

TPS = i swapped the whole throttle body from my s4.=)
Air valve = It also a direct swap.(s5 has oval clip)
Injectors and rail= Havent got their yet but look like a direct swap.

ANyone know of any other s5 tII engine sensors that wont match the s4 harness?

I'm gonna say to take the Temp sender and the Other senders from your S4 and put them on your S5 Keg.That in effect, makes the s5 an S4(electrically) and the Ecu should Run it as such.
I am Sort of On the same path as you.
I am putting an s5 TIi keg in and runnig it in an S4 N/A.I am Running the Keg with s4 Components.I will be using an S5 Turbo and Exhaust manifold though.
And I have an S4 Front cover with a Blocked off OMP,so your Other Question..I am premixing,Not worried about an Electric or manual OMP.

yes run it as an s4. It will save you many hassles... but note that the s4 LIM does not mate up very well to s5 irons. The gaskets surfaces are different. You may consider running the s5 intake manifolds with the s4 TB. That's what I'm doing on my new setup with s5 irons in an s4 car.
