88 S/4 N/A 5spd. Tranny noise...

OK, changed tranny oil w proper wt...I know my Throw Out and or Pilot Bearing (Stupid Mech put in new clutch, did not replace the bearings, argghhh)...is a little noisy sometims, shifts good in all gears but when I am going down the highway 5th gear really makes a lot of noise kind of like a whining but actually sometimes stops.
I can push in on the clutch going down the hwy and it'll stop, now this means the gears are still turning in the tranny but the clutch is not engaged, again its quiet, then I let out on the clutch and the whine is back...could that be those bearings?
Thanks for any input...

possibly, does it make whining in any other gears? if it makes noise in every gear except 4th then it is your front main bearing in your tranny...

Thanks Chris...actually the other gears are smooth and quiet,,sometimes just a little clicking like the Pilot perhaps but very very slight, 5th is the noisest and when I hit an unlevel part of ;the road like a dip it changes intensity the back to regular whine, only in fifth

as a matter of fact it will "sing a song" if the road has a lot of dips...but on smooth surface it is smooth whine, only and only in 5th
