88 rx7 turbo II fuel cut off

I just picked up this 88 turbo II and it has a fuel cut off switch installed. Is there something i can do to get rid of it or do all turbo II's have them.

That's to prevent flooding. Just leave it.

When rotaries get low compression (CHECK YOURS NOW!) they have a tendency to flood. The switch lets it start up without doing that.

No, not all TII's have them.

It is a rebuilt engine. only 2500 kms. It was street ported and 3mm apex seals installed. The guy put it on after the rebuild. Did i get ripped on the rebuild???

Probably not. I had one installed with my rebuild. Before the engine is broken in, it will have lower compression. The compression will rise during break-in.

I'd still do a compression test, but I wouldn't worry about it.

Much as I hate to start another argument, this isnt the ONLY reason for hot starts. Malfunctioning thermosensors, etc, will cause the same issues.

Well, yeah. I was referring more to the fact that he just got his engine rebuilt.
