88 rx7 engines fast?

I am planning on getting a 1991 Rx7 with an 88 rx7 engine...Just one question, would this car be faster than an 85 300ZX?

The 85 300ZX has a 2.8L engine that produces 170 HP and 160 FPT.
The 88 RX-7 has a 1.3L engine that produces 146 HP and 138 FPT.

You be the judge.

FC Turbo + 200HP = 11's
Ok enough equations.
I think the RX-7 would be a much cooler car than the Z, probably just because I own a RX-7....

The 88 engine is only a few HP less than the 91 engine, but not by much. Plus you can mod both out the *** with nice results.

i'd be weary of a s5 with a s4 engine in it, those conversions are quite a pain in the *** to do.
