88 NA with ABS, t2 swap and standalone

i posted this over in the haltech section but i did not get any replies, so maybe this topic would be more suited here.
i have a series 4 with factory abs and i am running a t2 motor with a haltech. after the haltech was installed the abs light comes on after driving for a minute or so and the pedal starts to fade.
my assumption is that the abs computer needs something from the haltech to operate. maybe a tac signal or something of that nature. has anyone ran into this problem before ?
