THE CAR shakes violently after 50 mph, i know the tires need to e replaced and prolly balanced, is there anything more likely to cause this problem?

The U joint in your driveshaft needs to be replaced. Unless its a aftermarket driveshaft, then you will have to replace it. Because the OEM driftshafts doesnt have rebuildable u joints.

 

Just so you know it is most probably your u-joints on you d-shaft. Now depending on where you are at you may be able to find a drive line shop that will rebuild your d-shaft for less than a bill, but just know this I did this with my rx, and it runs fine untill I get up to about 120 or 130 mph then my car staarts to shake all to hell. so its best to just shell the money out for the aftermarket d-shaft.

 

there is one more thing that can cause a shaking too - a loose strut. but it sounds like the D-shaft as said earlier. See if the tires make a difference for you.

 

Get the tires balanced then see what it does.
