'88 GXL from Fast and Furious 2

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6327

Read the blurb at the bottom of this auction on how it is supposedly featured in the upcoming movie 2 Fast 2 Furious.

A little ricey, but very nice

holy geeze can that guy have any more scoops and slots for drawing in air into his engine bay?? might as well take off the hood and just put small pieces to cover up things like the alternator and battery and stuff.... maybe not that bad but its pretty nice.

Yeah, that body kit makes the thing look like a Mk3 Supra:

Plus its only N/A... heck for a movie car you'd think that he's have at least a built up motor... something more than street port and K&N.

I don't care, at least they have an FC in the movie now (if that's true) . The erebuni kit does make it look a bit like a cross between a Supra and an NSX (kinda...well especiallly with the wing you usually see on it). The pedals are beat looking though.

Did anyone notice that there are a few fables in the listing...

Vehicle Description

1988 Mazda Rx-7.
=====================================
Exterior- MazdaSpeed/Groundeffects complete body kit, new paint job and custon front bumper and hood.

Suspension- Full Mazdaspeed Adjustable Coilovers with dampening control and Strut Tower Bar.
=====================================

Is there anything wrong with that description...does anyone see a MazdaSpeed aero kit there? I don't...also how about the suspension, you can't really see it but what are the chances that he's selling this car with the $1600 coilover kit from MazdaSpeed. I can't really say much about the suspension, but you know what I mean...there's some fishy stuff going on there...

the car is actually not bad looking accept for that AWFUL nose and hood. stock TII hood and a stock S5 nose w/ TII or mazdaspeed or Feed lip would be a huge improvement. if the motor is really a nicely done streetpot (new) and the paint is in primo shape the price isn't terrible considering the $ it looks like it has in it. pedals gotta go though...if everything is in working order and you can swap nose/hood thats a pretty complete NA. Oh, and for those "movie cars" this car has more motor work than all of those do (sad aint it). Most of those cars are just body kits, wheels and lowering (mufflers too). The car doesn't need to actually be fast, just look fast and the studio saves a TON by making each car SLOOOOOW. All those Supras in the first movie were likely NA's (they dont stunt w/ the guys real car) and the Eclipse was an NA as well. Sadly this car is likely quicker than most of the rides in the first movie hehe *the first movie was dumb, but tolerable and entertaining...I think this 2nd one is just gonna be dumb*

I'll believe when (if) I see it. You'd think if it was in the movie that it would be covered in stickers.

I think that I am correct in saying that we all have an unspoken hatred for a paticular film..

did you all notice all the bad *** "RACING" stuff he has in it like RACING street port, RACING plug wires, ACT RACING clutch, jap trix racing ECU. blah blah blah. BS on that one. THe pedals are cheap too. And I don't see anything special about the hood cept for that dinky little black scoop thing on the left.

well, we can all agree the owner doesn't know what he/she is doing but if the work is quality (i.e. he brought it someplace reputable) then the car might not be a rat-trap. put the stock injectors back in, and the stock pump, get a stock nose/hood and a nice front lip...get rid of those nasty pedals etc...least the car isn't covered in stickers (as it sounds by the owners description of the car i'd expect it to be). i'd pay 5K for the car solid...that 6200 bid is a tad much.

I'm not sure, because of the faded out pics, but it looks like the interior has accents of a really ugly lime green. It also strikes me suspicious that the buyer has to not only pay for shipping, but handle making the arrangements as well, from what it says. I'd wouldn't buy that car anyway, but even if you like it, I'd advise everyone to stay far, far away.

How can you say he's asking way too much? There have been 9 bids so far and the auction isn't even over yet...
I also don't see any reserve price.

True that! I think it looks good... not what I would spend the money on, but definately better than most of the overdone FC's I've seen. The extra hole in the hood has to go though. I really like the paint color as well.

Exactly! What I cant stand is another riced out car. I personally would never put a T2 hood on a N/A or get that body kit, it is as ugly as sin.

Actually the supra in fast and the furious was the producer's supra which actually WAS a modded 2jz-gte engine.. and if you noticed the first eclipse when they first popped the hood DID have a turbo, but the one done for the blown motor didn't. anyways it's a nice car.. like all the shiny parts the pdeals look liek they are on there wrong and therefore look liek crap but other then that in the words of homer "it's just a little slimy it's still good it's still good!"

Yea - it's a nice clean car with good mods, but:
That hole in the right side of the hood is for a missing ram air intake.
The fake SS covers on the hoses.
